Question for pre hair cap/hat wearers

RE: Question for pre hair cap/hat wearers
After wearing a cap for 15 years and then removing it, its really irrelevant what is or isn't underneath it, be it your own hair, a wig or even a cat!
The difference people will notice is that you're not wearing your hat/cap.
They won't be judging your hair because they have nothing but the hat to compare it with.
But if you have a head of hair that looks good, the ONLY reaction you will get will be compliments.
You won't want to wear the hat and you'll feel like a whole new world has opened up to you.

I speak from experience.
I wore a baseball cap for 2 years, during transplants and trying out wig wearing.
Just like you, I thought I would gradually segway from hat wearing to exposing my new hair.
In reality it was such a relief to not be wearing the hat, I abandoned it much sooner than planned.
I wish you all the best and hope it works out well for you.

Thanks Hersute, never actually thought of it like that. Friends coworkers have always seen me with my hat on so when I finally remove it with my piece on think (hope) their reaction will just be why have you been wearing that hat all these years.

RE: Question for pre hair cap/hat wearers
It's only hair weaved onto a piece of fabric.
Like an art easel ... Take a blank piece of canvas and
when an artist like Picasso applies the paint ... That canvas
becomes a work worthy of the gods ....

Or let me at it ... and it certainly will certainly be thrown out
with tomorrow's trash. Smile

Some guys 'do-it-themselves' and have no prior training
styling hair, or even the patience to do it.

Some hairstylists are clueless when it comes to dealing with
a piece. Some of the big hairpiece companies offer little training
to new apprentice stylists coming in ... That's the purpose of this
forum .. to take advantage of those whom made the mistakes.

Get a copy of 'Baldy Man's' Step by Step ..... Or take the lazy
man's approach (like me) ... Seek the help of a professional
stylist who specializes in hair replacement and PAY THEM
every month to make sure you look good ......

*** Take a note from our female counterparts ... Do you see
any woman trusting to cut and style their own hair using a hand mirror?
But many hairpiece wearers do.

Just my opinion .... and what the heck do I know anyway Smile

RE: Question for pre hair cap/hat wearers
Just wondered was anyone on here had family or friends comment on their hairloss before they started wearing.

If so what did they say after you started wearing because surely they would have known?

i told my family that i am going to do this before i started to wear. They where my judges and if it would look stupid they would say it to me. But it looked good, so that was confidence booster
