We all need to get as much life out of our hair systems as possible. There are several factors that affect the life span of a hair system. Frequentcy of washing, water quality, shampoo strength, and exposure to the sun are the main culprits. But there is one other factory that also is significant and that's steam from the shower. Steam causes oxidation. That is turn causes discoloration and drying the hair. This will shorten the life span of the unit. Try to take warm showers but not hot showers. Set the water temperature on as cool a temperature as you can and still be comfortable. This will cause less steam and extend the life of your unit.
